On June 6, a tornado damaged our church. Here is an update on the rebuilding project:

As we move through vacations and await decisions, slow and steady progress continues upstairs and down. The drop ceilings have been completed and several Sunday School rooms are emptied and awaiting painting, tile and doors. We anticipate having the downstairs educational wing and the upstairs library-side rooms complete and available by Labor Day.
The staff has been working with a local architectural firm for several weeks to flesh out ideas for reconfiguration of the office, nursery and preschool complex. Costs have been assembled and the Trustees have approved the project, pending financing. Information meetings for the congregation will be held between the worship services on August 8 and August 15, and Wednesday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. There will be lots of opportunities to see plans, ask questions, and offer input on the way to a congregational vote at a Charge Conference on Monday, August 30! |
