Chapel Hill United Methodist Church is delighted to offer a free concert by Ann Arbor singer and songwriter, Joe Reilly on Friday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the worship center on the upper level of the church. Joe Reilly is a Michigan-born singer who writes songs from his heart. His songs are playful, clever, engaging, joyful, and always have something meaningful to say. The core of his message is an invitation to heal our relationships with our selves, with each other, and with the earth. Joe uses his music to bring people together and build community across lines of race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, and nationality. Joe is Italian, Irish, and Native American (Cherokee) and was raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan in a creative household by musical parents who encouraged him to find his own voice.
With the costs of the concert underwritten by the church, there will be no admission! Donations will be received and divided between two local groups, The Gleaning and Sprout Urban Farms. Both organizations work to provide fair and healthy food to all those in our community. Representatives will be present at the concert to provide information and answer questions. Joe will also be giving two assembly concerts at Riverside Elementary on Friday afternoon, sponsored by Chapel Hill UMC and the Albion District of the United Methodist Church. Please call the Chapel Hill office at 963- 0231 with any questions or find info @TheHillBC on Facebook or at joereilly.org.
